How to Upcycle a Vintage Pin Into a Stylish Ring

Now I know what you guys must be thinking: "Girl, when's the last time you did a DIY?! " Oh man, I know, I haven't shared any crafts in this space for quite a while now (June 2016, to be exact), but believe me when I say that I've been itching to do so. I just couldn't seem to make time for it. But I'm a big believer that making things with your hands is good for the soul, so here we are. And because crafting isn't quite like riding a bike (what can I say, I'm rusty), I thought I would ease back into things by upcycling a vintage pin I thrifted long ago into something I'm much more likely to wear— a ring. This is such an inexpensive way to create some new pieces for yourself, but it can also be a great gift idea or stocking stuffer for the holiday season... bonus!

As far as projects go, this one is a breeze— simply remove the post of the pin using some pliers, then use your jewelry glue to affix the pin to the ring base. Press down firmly for a minute or so to secure the ring in place, then allow to dry for 24 hours prior to wearing. Easy peasy.
