My Bridesmaid Ask Cards

Tuesday, August 4, 2015
The countdown to our wedding in officially on (less than a month to go!), and one of the things I've been most excited to plan so far has been my bridesmaid asks. I had seen some adorable cards floating around Pinterest with "I couldn't say I do without you" messaging, and although I loved the idea so much, I wanted to put my own spin on it. Enter Justine Ma. As soon as I had my messaging nailed down, I knew I had to have Justine bring my vision to life... her calligraphy is some of the best I've seen around (so fresh! so modern!), and I've been a fan of her greeting cards and prints for years now.
All my girls live in Victoria, which is where the wedding will be held, and since I had to pop into town to check on some venue-related things anyway, I decided to hold off on mailing the cards in favour of hand delivering them to my besties... and if you follow me on Snapchat (I'm advinfashion), you would have already seen the entire process go down. I'm well aware that being a bridesmaid can be a total pain sometimes, so I wanted to sweeten the deal by including a little trinket for each of the girls so they know how much I appreciate them.
"It wouldn't be my wedding day without my bestest bae — will you be my bridesmaid?"
Luckily for me, all four girls said yes (what a relief!), and now we just have to track down dresses for everyone... baby steps. Who says a month and a half isn't enough time to plan a wedding? xx

  1. Wow! Amazing that you're planning your wedding in such a short time - and love that you're still finding time to take care of details like this. What a sweet and thoughtful way to ask your girls to be a part of your special day.

  2. Oh my gosh SO exciting your wedding is coming up so soon :) These cards are the cutest and I love those necklaces too! Sarah and Kali got me one as part of my bday gift!

  3. Such a great idea! Those necklaces look like the Coco + Marie ones, and I know how much I love that one, so your friends must be thrilled!
