Weekend Vibes

In case you haven't noticed, I'm kind of a fan of coffee... I need it like I need oxygen. And besides the many practical functions that drinking coffee affords (namely, consciousness), the social aspect is by far my favourite. There's no better way to kick off a weekend than by congregating at your favourite cafe with friends or your boo for a little jolt and some social time, and over the years, this little ritual has become my mental cue that it's finally Saturday. Last weekend, I finally got to try Iconoclast Koffiehuis, and let me tell you, it was everything I thought it would be and more. Picture this: A handmade coffee bar made from entirely reclaimed materials sits in a giant warehouse, whose open doors overlook a cemetery. Inside, bicycles (some of which are bamboo) adorn the walls, people are doing everything from reading and typing on laptops, to painting with watercolours, and the thick smell of coffee abounds... I know, awesome, right?
These little Saturday morning rituals have developed a uniform over the years, and when photos aren't on the agenda for the day, it's all about boyfriend jeans, the softest T-shirts possible and some fun accessories — casual with a twist, if you will. My go-tos recently have been this T by Alexander Wang tee that's the perfect throw-on-and-go piece, and when paired with this statement necklace from Happiness Boutique, anything is possible. After all, clothing and coffee are a many-splendored thing.

Thanks for reading, and most importantly, happy weekending!
