What's In My Bag

It's been an awfully long time since I let you see the contents of my bag, and since I just got a new one for spring, I figured now was as good a time as any. Behold, dear reader, my personal bits and bobs, phone and wallet notwithstanding (my wallet is too big for this bag, and I'm pretty sure you all know what an iPhone looks like). The beauty of this bag — besides it's pink hue — is that it forces me to only tote around my everyday essentials, giving my shoulders (and the Robaxacet) a much-needed break. Because when left to my own devises, believe me when I tell you that half my makeup collection, a heavy camera and a handful of notebooks would be in there. So what's the skinny on my current must-haves? Well I'm glad you asked!

1. Sunnies // These Karen Walker inspired beauties from Forever 21 (gasp!) have been heavily in rotation, and if you follow me on Instagram, I apologize for the million shots they've managed to creep into — they're just too cute to resist.

2. Lipstick // I've been trying to restrict myself to one or two lipsticks per bag as opposed to the 15 I normally carry, and right now NARS' Audacious Lipstick in 'Grace' has been my go-to — it's just the perfect pop of reddy pink, and I'm alarmed at how fast I'm making my way through it... pump the breaks, girlfriend!

3. Concealer + Pressed Powder // Ah, the power couple of the makeup world. Since nobody's skin is perfect (right?), having a good concealer and powder on hand can be a real life-saver, especially for touchups on the go. I've really been enjoying Maybelline's Age Rewind concealer (as you can tell from how much I've used), while Chanel's Les Beiges is a constant shine-fighter in my life. Bonus? You can use the compact's mirror for all those lipstick reapplications — #multipurpose

4. Nail Polish // Now don't judge, but nothing erks me more than chipped nails. So I have a habit of toting around whatever shade I happen to be wearing at the time just in case... hey, we all have our little quirks!

5. Mints // I don't ever leave home without mints or gum of some kind... je refuse! You and all the people you encounter throughout the day will thank you for it. And if said mints happen to be all-natural and rose flavoured, heck, that's reason enough for me. xx

  1. You're not the only one who brings their current polish around. If I have mini of the colour in wearing I'll bring that and a nail file (bad habit of breaking my nails along with chipping polish)
