Embryolisse Hydra-Masque

Embryolisse is one of those iconic French brands that you read about on Into The Gloss, or watch Youtubers dish about in their French pharmacy hauls — it's not exactly something you just come upon whilst casually shopping in your local mall. So you can imagine my delight (a squeal may or may not have escaped my lips) when I spotted the stuff in my local Urban Outfitters. Crazy, right?

Always on the quest for nourished skin, I decided to try their Hydra-Masque, which is essentially an emollient cream that you apply to clean skin and leave on for about 15 minutes. It claims to "hydrate, stimulate and restructure the skin as it reinforces and regenerates the cutaneous barrier. Skin is instantly rehydrated, softer and more toned, and with improved radiance." Now I've only had this mask for a short time, but here are my thoughts so far.

My skin didn't exactly feel more toned OR more radiant, but what it did feel was hydrated... and at the end of the day, isn't that why I bought the damn thing? I think the beauty in this brand is it's simplicity, and now that I've had a taste of Embryolisse, I'm really keen to see what their other products are like — especially their cult favourite Lait-Creme Concentrate... I think a trip to Paris (and Citypharma!) is in order. xx

  1. I love french beauty products. They are somehow much more creamy or something.
