October Favourites

October has been filled with impulse beauty buys, but luckily for me, most of those whims have worked out for the best. I paid a little visit to Cult Beauty where the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque somehow made it's way into my checkout cart and into my heart. In fact, I've been using this stuff once a week and have been super impressed with how clear it leaves my skin looking the next day... So worth it. Another item acquired during that fateful Cult Beauty trip was Oskia's Renaissance Mask, which is luxury in a bottle. The smell is heavenly, and I've also been slathering this stuff on my face weekly to keep things nice and hydrated — holy balls ladies, this stuff is amazing! It's packed with fruit enzymes and liposomes to give you radiant, nourished skin — kind of like REN's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask on speed. I would recommend this stuff big time, and I might just do a post dedicated to this product (and another one from Oskia that I'm loving), so stay tuned for that.

On the subject of impulse purchases that paid off, I'm super in love with Super Facialist by Una Brennan's Vitamin C Brighten Overnight  Repair Radiance Capsules right now. I use a capsule each night as my serum and wake up the next day to smooth, glowing skin. I'm not sure where you can actually buy this range in Canada (I hear about it all the time from UK bloggers), but it seems to be popping up at Winners lately, so be sure to keep an eye out for the stuff when you're there!

As for makeup, obviously Urban Decay's Naked 2 Basics had to happen, which I've been wearing religiously since I picked it up last month. You all know how amazing Urban Decay eye shadows are, so I won't bore you with my incessant fan girling, but this is seriously, seriously good stuff. Fun fact? This month marks my shameful transition into VIB Rouge status at Sephora, so clearly I've been as impulsive there as I have been at Cult Beauty... it's a sickness, I tell ya. That's where this Phillip Lim x Nars Nail Polish came into my life, and boy oh boy do I ever love it. Dubbed "Dark Room," this bad boy is proving to be one of my favourite fall shades this year (exhibit A), and it's made its way onto my nails more times than I can count this month... and hey, when a girl reaches for the same nail polish multiple times in a row, that's saying something. xx

  3. What is your skin normally like? I'm in the process of revamping my skin care and I'm wondering if your suggestions would be a good match for me.
