What to Wear if You're Tired of Rocking Denim

A shocking headline coming from the girl who spends 95 per cent of her life in jeans, sure, but if you're anything like me and could use a break from the indigo, today's post is for you. It's also a bonus should you be a 90's enthusiast, which I like to imagine all of you are... after all, we're Internet BFFs, and birds of a feather love the 90s (that's totally the saying, right?), so clearly my logic is sound. But once again, I digress. If you're a denim lover and are looking for an alternative to pepper into your winter wardrobe, look no further than the plaid pant, my friends.

I scored mine at H&M last month, but as luck would have it, they're still plentifully in-stock on the website, not to mention inexpensive. Consider these a great starter pair if you're looking to dip your toe into the trend but don't want to invest too much money to get started. Similarly, Forever 21 has a great high-waisted option to check out, also in an awesome, 90s-influenced colourway. I love these pants because— like I said before— they break the monotony of wearing denim everyday, but they also take me back to the good old days when pre-teen Vickie thought she was a fashion plate and paired similar pants with baby doll tees, hologram accessories and embarrassingly-frizzy hair. But hey, you gotta respect the journey.

PS— This beanie from TOBI is one of the warmest I've ever worn, and it's currently on sale for 50 per cent off, if you're interested!
