To my mind, fall is a time for nesting and slightly more "domestic" endeavours (just me?), so in honour of our favourite season, my girl Ashley and I decided to get our bake on — but not just any ol' baking, it was an apple-tart-or-bust type of situation. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with apple-related anything during fall, be it in pie, cider or room spray form. And if there's one thing I love more than apples, it's puff pastry, so let's just say our recipe selection was a no-brainer — FoodieCrush all the way! I love this recipe because not only is it super quick, easy and delicious, but any leftover filling you may have goes amazingly well with Greek yogurt for a healthy(ish) breakfast or afternoon snack... waste not want not, right?
Nothing goes better with fresh-from-the-oven baking than a hot cup of coffee, so we busted out our trusty Chemex coffee maker and my personal favourite bean from Kicking Horse Coffee to fully enjoy the fruits of our labour... what can I say, it's the little things (like copious amounts of caffeine and sugar between friends) that make life worth living.
