Today was the first day in months that I actually wore a sweater — not in an anticipatory, hurry-up-and-get-here-fall kind of way, but out of real necessity. It was overcast and rainy, and the shift in weather got me dreaming of all things fall, footwear included. There's just something about boots with heels (particularly ankle boots) that make me feel all fluttery inside, probably because they conjure up images of falling leaves, cozy layers, pumpkin spice lattes (I don't care if loving PSLs makes me a basic bitch) and all the lovely things that come along with the changing season. So with T minus one month until I personally plan on busting out my arsenal of ankle grazers, here's a little inspiration to get you excited for fall as well.
High or low, short or tall, heeled boots are my sartorial kryptonite.
There are quite a few booties on my radar for this season (with Alexander Wang and Chloe ranking high on my wishlist), and even more booties in my collection that I need to reheel and revitalize for the coming fall. As much as I love stocking up on a few key pieces each season, I think it's equally important to take stock of what you already have and find ways to get extra mileage from your wardrobe — as with most things in life, balance is key, and I plan to remember that when I'm itching to buy new items this fall... but after looking at all these photos, I'm guessing that one's probably going to be easier said than done. xx
