Chambray Dreams

Chambray dress- Forever 21 | sunnies- Celine | bag- Chloe | shoes- Alexander Wang | necklace c/o Happiness Boutique | rings- Gorjana + Mejuri
My fascination with button-up dresses is still going strong, but in the case of this dress from earlier this summer, the fascination really lies in how to prevent it's buttons from popping open during the most inopportune times. For instance, walking through crowded spaces or talking to children would both be particularly bad times for your top button to go on strike — and I'm not speaking hypothetically here. After this particular wearing, I just may have to retire this dress for good, because walking around while clutching your dress for dear life and compulsively looking down at your chest isn't the cutest look... or, you know, so I would imagine. xx

  1. If you still like the dress you could try stitching a clear plastic snap under the top button as a safety catch? I might have to start doing this on a couple of my shirts too.

  2. Love the dress! That's too bad re: buttons - I wish more manufacturers would install hooks or invisible snaps to keep from inopportune popping.
