Kimmy Schmidt Inspired Tote

Tuesday, March 17, 2015
If you're anything like me, you're completely, unapologetically obsessed with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt — I may or may not have already watched the entire first season twice and am going in for a third viewing... hey, it's just that good. There are so many one-liners and amazing moments, and I couldn't resist turning one of my favourite lines from the show into a graphic tote... it was either that or "like I'm going to eat some bird I might know" in reference to eating local — good stuff. If you don't know what I'm talking about (it's OK, I still love you), drop everything that you're doing right.this.second and turn on Netflix — I promise you won't regret it.

SUPPLIES: TOTE BAG | ADHESIVE FELT LETTERS | E-6000 GLUE
TIME: 20 MINUTES (NOT INCLUDING DRY TIME) | DIFFICULTY RATING: EASY
I spotted these felt adhesive letters the last time I was cruising Michaels and snagged a couple bags knowing that inspiration would inevitably strike and I would be happy to have them on hand — nicely done, past Vickie! If you can track down a similar product, do it, otherwise you can use a stencil and fabric paint or iron-on letters for this one. Here we go.
Map out what you would like to write across your tote (Pinot Noir, Shooting Star perhaps, or maybe a simple Kymmi x Olive Garden reference), and unpeel the backings of your letters. One by one, coat the back with some strong adhesive to really secure them in place, and press down firmly. Repeat for all the letters, then let them dry for a few hours while you binge watch UKS — can you think of a better way to spend a free afternoon? I think this pretty well sums it up. xx
