The one item that single handedly changed the face of my face this year is Shu Umera's Ultime8 cleansing oil. It's what made me a cleansing oil believer and sparked the quest to try every single oil I can get my hands on. Caudalie's Polyphenol C15 Antiwrinkle eye cream was a life saver with all those sleepless nights spent hustling, and Glamglow's Youthmud and Origin's Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask were the two masks I turned to most for tackling my most common skin offenders: Acne and dry patches. Bioderma's Micelle Solution has been a daily must for removing my makeup (it's a game changer), while Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb scent was repurchased several times throughout the year... hey, a girl's gotta smell her best.
If I could only have two base products and one brush to apply them with for the rest of my days, they would be the Tarte's Amazonian Clay foundation and NARS' Radiant Creamy concealer with the Real Techniques stippling brush. They're what I've turned to most throughout the year because they give nice, consistent coverage without being too thick or cakey, and the brush buffs in the product so well and for a fraction of the price of it's high-end counterparts (#winning). Clinique's Cheek Pop blush in 'Berry Pop' has also been in heavy rotation this year (although I have some new favourite blushes you'll be seeing more of in 2015), and I like it for it's soft colour and solid pigmentation.
For eyes, 2014 has been the year of L'Oreal's Miss Manga mascara and Stila's Stay All Day waterproof liquid liner (so good!), while my brows are forever indebted to Hourglass' Arch Brow Sculpting pencil. Very few days have gone by without this combination making its way on my face. And as far as my pucker goes, Clarins Instant Light lip perfector has been (and forever will be) a constant in my life, while Stila's Stay All Day liquid lipstick in 'Beso' plays the role of best supporting actress in the academy awards that is my makeup drawer (nicely done, little lipstick). xx
