Paper-Embellished Ampersand

I've been loving all the ampersands I've been seeing around these days (Chapters, I'm talking to you), so when I spotted a plain white one during a recent trip to Michael's, I had a total light bulb moment — I could finally use up some of my decorative paper stash once and for all and whip up a pretty ampersand of my own! Win-win.

SUPPLIES: AMPERSAND (MICHAELS HAS A GREAT SELECTION) | DECORATIVE PAPER | SCISSORS | MOD PODGE | PAINT BRUSH
TIME: 1 HOUR | DIFFICULTY RATING: EASY
This one's so unbelievably easy guys — I did it one afternoon while binge watching Gilmore Girls. Just grab your ampersand (or whatever letter/symbol you like) and slather a thick coat of Mod Podge onto its surface. From there, cut out some strips of pretty paper and position them across the symbol.

Once you've covered the entire surface, go over the paper with another coat of Mod Podge, taking care to seal down all the edges. After everything is nice and dry, snip off any excess paper with small scissors — that's it! Talk about a cute, easy & (wink wink) inexpensive way to spruce up your decor! xx
