Glass Glitter iPhone Case

Tuesday, August 12, 2014
So you know how I have a compulsion, err, tendency, to endlessly makeover my everyday possessions? Well sorry iPhone case, this time I'm looking at you. I've been having a glitter glass moment this year (exhibit A and B), so I was curious to see how it would look on an phone case as well. And although I won't be doing this to my nicer cases anytime soon, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out... Read on for instructions!

SUPPLIES: IPHONE CASE | MOD PODGE | PAINT BRUSH | GLITTER GLASS
TIME:15 MINUTES (DRY OVERNIGHT) | DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY

Start by giving your case a good clean — you don't want any ickies (yes, I'm an adult) on there. From there, add a thick layer of Mod Podge onto the case, making sure it's evenly covered. Sprinkle the glue with glitter glass, gently pressing down to help it stick to the case.

Give the glitter a few minutes to adhere, then gently shake off any excess. Once that's done, add another generous layer of Mod Podge onto the glitter and allow it to dry overnight. This part is the most important, because if you don't allow for enough dry time, the glue won't properly cure.

Optional: To keep things nice and sturdy, brush a layer of Mod Podge periodically onto the case over time. I've done that to other projects in the past, and it really helps keep the glitter-shedding at bay!

And that's it! Thanks for reading lovelies, and if you decide to give this project a try (or any other ones you've seen here, for that matter), please send me a pic — I would love to see your handiwork! xx
